Without the Brexit Party Theresa May Would Still Be PM Trying to Flog Her Dead Horse Surrender Treaty

We owe Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party a debt.

Thanks to the Brexit Party, we have dodged a bullet that would have made the UK a colony of the EU in all but name. Theresa May nearly got away with it..

If not for the seismic EU election result in May 2019, the Remainers in the Tory party like Ken Clarke and Oliver Letwin, would still be propping up Theresa May to bring back her surrender treaty from the dead again and again, in order to ram-raid that shoddy deal through Parliament.

But now May has gone, and we finally have a Brexiteer in charge. .

With rumours that Boris Johnson is contemplating an electoral pact with the Brexit Party, it now remains to be seen if Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party could be involved further .

Regardless, our new Prime Minister has less than 100 days to save not only his Conservative party, but more importantly; the future of the United Kingdom and the credibility of the world’s oldest parliamentary democracy in the eyes of the world.

To do that, Boris needs to show that the number one priority is for the UK be ready to leave the EU, ‘deal or no deal’ by 31 Oct 2019.

This will take a steely determination and clear eyed leadership. We can only hope that Boris is now up to the task.

If not, you can be sure Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party will be waiting in the wings..
